I got a scrapbook layout done today! Nothing short of a miracle for me these days!

and made this layout! :D

I need to keep scrappin' I have the mojo - not sure about the time... I wanted this layout to be more creative - but well... maybe the next one! ;)

I started stripping the baseboards in our living and dining rooms today. The wood looks pretty good - I think it's red pine. I have pics ~maybe tomorrow.

cRaZy DaY!

I couldn't resist posting a pic of a potato that was in the bag - funny eh? it was "meant" for me ;)

By 11am I had the chicken cooking and the potato's peeled, washed and chopped ~for supper!

It rained ALL night and ALL day! So the kids and I spent the day inside...they were extremely overtired. They managed to get through the day until 3pm... then it was like a LANDSLIDE! They spun out of control it was really weird - I decided it was in my best interest to stay calm and out of it. So I did ;) I was really proud of keeping my cool - I have a BAD temper {blush} and when the kids rile me up ~WATCHOUT! 5:15 couldn't have came fast enough. Steve got home, we ate and then he drained their last molecule of energy in a bike ride to the park. I was able to get the cards all finished up for the workshop I have tomorrow evening. I'm relieved! I'll have to take pics tomorrow ;)

I'm a bad momma - only took 24 pics all weekend. I guess actually I was much more "INTO" the games - so not such a bad momma ;)

I'm panicking!!!!!!!

I apparently had great intentions of uploading my pictures and removed my card from my camera- problem is I didn't make it to the computer once 'said removal' occurred and now I can't find nor remember removing the card!!!!! :(

I don't have time for a treasure hunt, but I also don't have time for it to remain missing either... if you were a compact flash card, where might you be?

they lost, they won, they lost and then they won again! :)

If the kids were being judged on the quality of plays and not just the final score - they KICKED BUTT! :D today's game was their last for the tournament and they won 27-7 I think it was the highest score for the weekend!! I'm sorta sad that they didn't reach the semi's but also glad that we got to go home ~ I don't think Ally would have survived another entire day at the ball park.

So today I think we're all beat - just loafing... :)

I knew I wasn't normal! :P

so I've been suffering with a VERY painful jaw - was always told I have TMJ (or TMD) turns out I have something WAY more different called Trigeminal Neuralgia. ~weird and painful.

So I'm working away on some 3x3 cards -just about finished them made up a dozen for my mom's shop :)

Next on my list is to work on some cards for a workshop I'm doing on Monday - I'll be submitting an order Monday night or Tuesday. If you need/want anything let me know! :)

So I'm lacking BIG TIME on the photography front {gulp!} But today I hope to get a little caught up... *note to self -must BRING camera with me! ;)

Anyway - want to say thanks to Ann Marie, I am trying Fly Lady!! Shined up my sink yesterday and got dressed to my shoes today! :) LOL We have lived in our house now for 2 full years + a few days or a month or something... and I FINALLY decided on a paint colour!!! I'm SO happy!!

Steve took the day off work today - he's right beside me figuring out the measurements of the room so we can get the right amount of paint. The only room in our house that is done so far is the basement - we chose avacado green and since we were painting over {gag} panelling -have I mentioned we have/had 4 different panellings in our basement?!?! that is INSANE! anyway, so we needed a tinted primer and we bought WAY too much paint.. needless to say Dawson better also want a green room ;) I think I'll get it lightened up a bit tho. where was i? Livingroom paint - the colour I picked is called "Golden Pond" and altho it sounds YELLOW - it's not. It's actually kinda just a tan colour... and if THAT wasn't exciting enough news...I also found a couch that I want too!!! I'm hoping to go see it and sit on it, y'know to make sure it's what I want!! :D

so... ya - guess that's all my ramblings for now ;)

I tried crocheting fabric last night - was thinking of hot pads for putting hot dishes on or something - but I hated it, so I threw it out :P

I'm behind on pictures :( been busy. This is one of the flowers from the RBG

Yesterday I went outside to talk to Steve who was working on his bike in the garage - it's broke. And that means he *needs* the car :( {sigh}

~anyway, so I was looking around and came to the relization that he seriously isn't bothered by living in a mess. It is driving me NUTS - and it's just everyday STUFF! toys, papers, shoes, clothes, STUFF! I'm at my wits end. I've screamed, I've begged, I've cried, I've pleaded... for HELP! and nobody hears me. It's sad. I get to the point of just sucking it up and doing it! I clean and tidy and organize, and all the while I'm working on one room the kids are destroying another. While I was standing in the doorway of the garage - I looked around and thought no wonder the kids are this way! So I started picking stuff up and putting it out of the way then moved this, moved that - it didn't take long for him to start helping and you'll NEVER guess what we found!!! ~FLOOR SPACE~ can you believe it? there's *ACTUALLY* enough room for the car to be parked IN the garage if we wanted to. {rolls eyes} seriously.

I think after cleaning up for him I deserve this! it *IS* on sale at my LSS ;)

So the kids are away for 3 days of VBS at our church - I have 6 hours straight 3 days in a row to do pretty much WHATEVER *I* WANT! no whiners! WAHOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Of course I'm not even dressed yet ;) LOL there are some things I *WANT* to do and other things that I *NEED* to do... I'm thinking 1 day of wants and 2 days of needs? ~waybe? {fyi: "waybe" is the way my dd says "Maybe" and it's contagious} ;)

I have come to the relization that having my house in order is ZEN for me.

I just need to get it to STAY that way!

....hmmm, what else? oh it's my momma's birthday today! :) Happy Bday mom.

Botanical Gardens

we had a FABULOUS day at the Royal Botanical Gardens today!!
then we played at a park I just uploaded and saw that I took 298 pictures today ;) {grin}

so today is what? day 11 of summer vacay it's a lazy sort of day, a MUCH needed lazy day.

Steve is playing a rec game of soccer this evening with his co-workers, should be VERY entertaining to say the least! -I'll be sure to bring the ice pack and bandaids oh, and of course the CAMERA! ;)

So the kids and I are away from home on a mini-vacation. The only thing really vacation is that I haven't cooked or cleaned ;)

We spent last night enjoying the fireworks on the US side of the Niagara River -fyi, I have pics but will have to share after I return home ;)
The kids and I didn't get to bed til after midnight and we were up at a VERY early 6:30am :

Day 5 ~I'm back in Control!

I don't have pics yet today but I want to say TGIF~ and Molly, yes that's a tomato plant. Dh and I seen an advertisement to grow them upside down but the containers are rather pricey like $20 each. So we made our own to give it a try ;) so far so good! :)

day 4 - nearly killed me!

Day 4 of summer vacation was a terrible, no good, very bad day! I finally decided to give up. I surrendered to the children - they wanted to go in the pool - so since I'd been wanting to pick up some bears making again... I put this little one together :)

~it's Canada Day~

I'm not really into celebrating the "birthday of Canada" I just don't 'get it'... so whatever, it's 142 years old - it's a great reason to have a day off work and drink beer and light up the sky with fireworks! ;)

SO! it's day 3 of summer vacation - 69 days to go! ;) LOL

Last night I *thought* I was going to spend the evening being creative and altho' I had great intentions I was BLINDSIDED {Shannon} :P I did get this card made - it's sketch 116 on splitcoast - Shannon picked the sketch, and we decided to use 2 of the new in colours via Stampin' Up! as well as a new hostess set we both have and include embossing. She blew it OUT DA PARK! I kinda missed the part when she told me she was going to scrapbook - here I am flitting with a CARD! {eye rollage}

THEN... I felt compelled to try a card sketch on a layout too :P so I came up with this- We used sketch 208 from splitcoast - to get started then I went on from there...

I was hoping to get to a festival of some kind today - but now it's raining...
