Happy B-day to my sister

I don't often say much about my extended family, not sure why, I just don't. Anyway, today is my sister's birthday :) My mom and I are taking her out for supper.

today was a good day. I took the truck out on my own for a boot - it felt GOOD! :D I got a few errands accomplished.

I'm *REALLY* looking forward to StampiNpaLooZa on Friday...

it's Love-Hate

yup! that's what kinda night I'm having...

I'm LOVING that I decided that after supper I was taking the evening OFF! I told Steve he was responsible for cleaning up from supper, and putting the kids to BED. I attempted to sit on my butt and watch Hell's Kitchen - the kids literally jumped all over me {grrr...} but I did get the jist of the show. I hate it when shows leave you dangling. Part of the reason I prefer the CSI and other shows like it. You don't really have to see it every week to know what's going on. Biggest Loser is starting and I think I might call it a night - I'm HATING that I have been feeling this lingering 'head-cold' feeling. It's not full blown at all -thankfully! It has been hitting me around 7pm every evening since Friday - and just wipes me out. I'm thinking I'm needing serious R&R!

Babysitting went well! {really well!} and I even got our computer table cleared off!!! :)

I'm planning to go driving in my big-wheels tomorrow. I am hoping to get the new Monsters VS. Aliens movie for the kids.

wow! who knew?

So far I've had the typical morning ...
then I asked Ally if she wanted to watch a movie in her room/bed, get this... I haven't seen or heard from her since! :D I gotta remember this! ;) LOL



She had a VERY busy Monday - including falling at school and bumping her head. I expect these sort of things to occur, and without a call to home, however when there is a goose egg on her head that *I* don't know about - and she tells me while I'm driving over the skyway bridge {see pic above} at a buck 20... (120km/h) I kinda panicked! I'll be having a little chit-chat with the teacher tomorrow. Even tho it was hours later we iced it up a bit and some of the swelling did go down but isn't that odd for it to be swelled for hours? iced or not? poor kid!

The hubster took the truck to work to "show it off" {eye rollage!} so Ally and I have the car and I don't feel so nervous to do errands ;) LOL
And I start babysitting a girl in Dawson's class afterschool :) So I want to bake them up some treats for snack.

oh what to do, what to do

Not a problem or a care today! :)

The children are at school, the hubster {ahem, big spender} ;) is back to work, the laundry is going on, the dishwasher is on the dry cycle...

The only thing that would make me happier right now would be if the reno's were done! LOL

I even have wheels {BIG} wheels to go where ever I want. Only I'm just happy to be here at home in peace. Ally has dancing this evening so I do have to go out later...

For a long time I've used Mondays to get caught up on house tidying but you know what I did yesterday {snicker} I got the kids to empty all the garbage/recycling to the outside bins. I also got them to put their laundry away and tidy their room! go me!! :D So now today I feel guilt free to do ~WHATEVER *I* WANT! :D even if it's nothing at all!

ARGHHHHHH!!!!

ok, I get why people are 'allowed' to divorce -I admit I get pretty cranky with the hubster at times but it's usually when he drinks too much. But why oh why can't we divorce our children!?!

For the love of all things humane, my children have to be THEE most ungreatful creatures that roam. And to think that we {yes, WE} have allowed them to get this way leaves me in a funk. I need anger management - I know this. I keep putting off calling the dr. b/c it makes me feel like a freak - and let's face it, I don't need somebody to TELL me what I already know! {sigh}

I need to find my happy place and go there! Even as I am here now trying to release anger by typing I have kids yakking at me - I want to scream, cry, run away... and i can't.

It's times like this in the recent past that I would rely on retail therapy - and today there are a few things/places that have exciting stuff going on, but something HUGE stops me
~our new budget.

kids whining, crying, screaming... for the love of all things how do I make them STOP!?!?!

I've always found it odd to hear people use the word "candy bar". I've always only ever knew the chocolate treats as "chocolate bars". I'm not exactly a HUGE sweets fan, however I do *love* homemade cookies, ice-cream, chocolate bars (fruit & nut) and chips and dip. I try as I might not over indulge but sometimes I just can't hold myself back! I really like the Fruit and Nut bar that is made by Cadbury a very close second is the Caramilk bar.

THEN! I met TOBLERONE! and O.M.Gosh! it was like sin that melted in your mouth...

and you will NEVER believe what they added to it....

it's *SO* BiG!

our new truck is biG! I was VERY nervous to drive it...

but I did and it is SO SAH-WEET!

After school we took the kids for a drive -they were excited at first, then Dawson claimed he was bored and Ally fell asleep. We've put all but 9 km's on 'er.

I have pictures but they on the card, in the camera, upstairs and straight up I'm feeling lazy. We just gorged on pizza. I hate it when I go from a little hungry to STARVING and then I just gorge.
I regret it EVERY time... {you'd think I'd learn} ~rolling eyes...

I can hear Ally upstairs laughing her face off, sounds like Pearl escaped from her cage... don't worry Steve's there to take the beating ;) Pearl doesn't like anyone except for me, it's sad really. I wish she liked all of us, but the kids have teased her WAY too much.

I keep thinking of stuff I want to ramble about but then it escapes me :P

and so...

I feel much more liberated to just rant and ramble on about whatever I want - not that I never did before, but at least now I don't feel compelled to only share creative shtuff ;)

I've probably never mentioned I'm not much of a television watcher. I do surf the net a *LOT* and read and read and read crap online. ok, ok, it's not really crap ~ but man my eyes do burn when I'm done.

Not sure what's changed but I've been watching more tv lately. I am in lust with Hell's Kitchen, Biggest Loser, I also LOVE the first episodes of American Idol {snicker}, and I just saw a preview for Amazing Race - that's kinda fun too. I am forcing myself to watch Grey's Anatomy right now - and watched Mercy last night. I miss old shows... I miss ER, Friends, 90210, and all the OLD school sitcoms Three's company, The Cosby show, Growing Pains, Mad About You - sometimes it really SUCKS to grow up {sigh}

Today I picked up my new night gaurd. It's to help with my TMJ - I clench and grind my teeth.

Looking forward to picking up our new wheels tomorrow... Not looking forward to the new budget - budget-shmudget I say!

I think I'm going to make "popovers" for breakfast.

I've decided that since most of my days do NOT involve being creative and I still *LOVE* to blog I'd change my blog title :) I'm going to look at freshing it up a bit too.

I have so much nonsense going on in my head - I hope it escapes soon!

hardly enough time...

It seems I have hardly enough time in a day... I have all these desires and no time it seems.
I've been wanting to get back into sewing for a while now - I even sought out some blogs with AWESOME patterns and tutorials -- check out the links ---->

We are now officially on a budget. Apparently a tight one {gulp!} I thought *I* was the big spender, but NOPE... it ain't me! {quite a relief!}

Looks like we could possibly start ripping out the diningroom tomorrow! :D

It's not final *yet* but I think it's safe to say... We are first time "NEW" truck owners!!! Dh went out last night {without me} and came home with all the papers for this beauty

We have always had Ford's - still do have the Focus- but GM was offering a deal we couldn't pass up!! We have found USED trucks listed for the price we got! We're still in pending financing but the odds seem good :)

~Happy {early} Anniversary to us!! :D it's not til November 6th LOL but it's our 10th. ;)

My brother in law and his wife *Jenn* had their second daughter yesterday. Her name is Andi and she weighed in at 9 lbs 13 oz . *Nearly* <--for you Shannon! {snort} double her sister's size at birth. Sam was only 5 lbs 6 oz. and 2 weeks early. Jenn was 7 days past edd this time and as far as I know was induced... So Andi shares her birthday with her Daddy! Neither of them read this blog I'm almost certain. .....more *BIG* news coming soon!! I don't want to give it all up in one day! {giggle}

This girl is ALL GIRL! She needs make up, a purse and is DYING to own a chihuahua!

More often than not, she has food on her face, her clothes rarely match but ALWAYS has pink or purple on...she even does her own hair! ;)

Al's first day of Junior Kindergarten was Monday Sept. 14 (day after her 4th b-day)

- apparently 2 boys had a scuffle and the one absolutely REFUSED to appologize. These 2 apparently are friends outside of school and I'm thinking it would be logical to seperate them - as their are 2 JK classes. Anyway, Ally seemed to have a good day, she was pretty tired out, but perservered and made it through her first back to dance class too! She moved up from 45 min. to 90 mins. Since it was bring a friend night, she had her bff with her, Tori. I'm not sure how this is going to pan out this year, as the class seems VERY large and the abilities are extremely varied. Hopefully she'll figure it out. ;)

I'm feeling crazy frazzled lately. I think I need to see the dr. {deep sigh}

my baby is now 4

Yup, it's true and official! my baby girl is now 4 years old! and starts school this year... So hard to believe. She also will be starting back to dance class tomorrow night and can't wait! :)

Welp! I have no idea why blogger is fighting me with this picture! but I tried and it keeps flipping it this way - so you're just going to have to turn your head! LOL Ally surprised me and wanted a "Strawberry Shortcake" birthday party. Do you have ANY idea how little strawberry shortcake stuff is available to purchase? I mean if I planned ahead I could have purchased online without a hitch - but I ASSumed I could easily buy the stuff here, I mean afterall we DO live in a city now! {sigh} I couldn't find anything - so I looked up ideas online and found a few people must have had the same struggle before me. So I 'stole' the hat idea for a cake. I have to add the ribbon yet, but it's DONE! and it turned out pretty cute I think! ;)

deal of the day: I found a travelling cake carrier for $12 !!!

'Bout time I got around to this! I'm still living in chaos - it's just CRAZY around here.
however, I'm 'stealing' a moment to update when I should be making and eating lunch while making the grocery list...

Here's my first official COMPLETE sock!!! with ZERO mistakes! I am beyond proud ;) I've already begun knitting the matching one - I read somewhere that you should start the second one right away so you have similar tension and so you don't put it off ;)

The next few pics are from the Sand Hill Park. We took the kids and they ~LOVED~ it! It's seriouly an ESCARPMENT of sand! I plunked an arrow so you can see where Steve and Dawson are in the one pic. They climbed up the steep side and then came down the other side. Ally and I took the more easier path {pic directly below} however I should have taken more pics as this is the only "easy" part. I had to hold her hand and the sand was HOT! (we had sandals on but sand gets into sandals) ;) go figure!

As much as I complain about my whiney kids- they really are great kids!
Ally has been CHATTY CATHY! for days on end! you can imagine how I'm feeling... I have a slight hearing problem and to have her yakking ALL day at me and then needing her to repeat SEVERAL times is absolutely draining! however... she is cutest darn thing ;)

hard to believe she starts school in a mere week! bittersweet...

I'm waiting for the mudding to dry so the hubster can sand and I can FINALLY start painting. I have been feeling pretty darn useless lately...

I seriously need to get my card uploaded onto the computer! EEK!

that the links associated with Stampin' UP! have been removed from the sidebar. I did this b/c I learned today that the company is changing their 'rules' and I just don't have the paitience for it.

I seldom even create much these days- too far up to my neck in house reno's and life... Hopefully once the kids are in school and the house is somewhat? under control I'll get back at it. For now - I am still a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. I do offer workshops and do take orders.

EXHAUSTED! -that's what *I* am...

I thought I had picked out the cupboards that I wanted... and I think that I'm still 'sold' on the same ones - but then I saw a WACK more of other styles/colours etc. and now I feel like I'm back to square one.

tomorrow I'm going to pamper my hair! a much needed event :)
